Strawberry Hill Gardens

Strawberry Hill was one of the first coffee plantations established in the early 19th century. Landscaped as a private gardens from 1880 onwards the 50 acre estate contained many walks, viewing spots and plants species. The hotel was built around the original landscape exposing and preserving the walks and views. Plants were added and care taken to retain the historical integrity of the grounds. These images are just a sample of the 350 species that have been catalogued so far.
