Bob Marley

Bob Marley, from his beginnings as a founding member of the Wailing Wailers along with Peter McIntosh and Bunny Livingstone, created a stir in the Jamaican Music industry. From 1964 to 1974 as part of the Wailers he laid foundations for what he was to become - a Legend.

During his sadly brief career as a megastar 1974 - 1981, Bob never forgot his roots, his people and his religion. As a result his songs are multi-generational and multi racial engaging in poverty, gangland warfare, religion, political repression and metaphysical insights in a language that is universally understood.

The choice of the song "One Love" and album "Exodus" as song and album of the Millenium are but two of the many posthumous awards he has been given. The greatest accolade, however is the ever widening appeal of his music and the move from pop star to icon-like status of the great rebel. His messages will never be forgotten.
