Mandeville to Blackriver via Accompong A 3 hour drive takes one along the main roads bypassing Mandeville, through the Holland bamboo walk and into the picturesque town of Blackriver situated on the river's estuary.
St Andrew's Anglican Church, Glinock The Bamboo Avenue is 1/2 a mile long and terminates in a district called Middle Quarters where the best peppered shrimp can be bought.
Bamboo Avenue, Holland On the way to Blackriver you pass through Santa Cruz. Take a right to Accompong, the home of the descendents of the Maroons. The road winds through Newton and Magotty up into the hills of St Elizabeth.
