Blackriver to Kingston via Parottee and Alligator Pond

Hugging the South Coast virtually all the way to Kingston is a road that passes through completely wild and uninhabited country. Beautiful views, almost no traffic and access to many deserted beaches makes this unknown road a must for any traveller.

Ensure that you have a full tank and a spare as between Alligator Pond and Milk River onto Tollgate is wild.

All around you are farms and remote villages. The countryside is a patchwork of fields filled with escallion, onion, cabbage etc within which some traditional modes of transport can be found.

Though longer than the traditional Mandeville - Maypen route, it is well worth the extra time to appreciate a small part of the wilderness still to be found in Jamaica
